**Job Summary**

An Asphalt Plant operator tends automatic machine that casts asphalt through various operations: starts & stops machine that automatically fills the raw materials and produces the final product of asphalt.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Main responsibility of handling the operation of the asphalt machine (Amman) that produces hot-mix bituminous paving material on sub grade of highways and streets.
- Inspects and cleans the machines as required before operation.
- Starts the operation of every machine involved in the manufacturing of asphalt in sequence. (Filler elevator, compressor of hydraulic jack, mixer tower, exhausts motor, dry drum and burner).
- Setting the proposed mixture of aggregate, filler, and bitumen and sand details in the automated system (Amman).
- Assisting QC and ensuring mix designs meets customer specifications.
- Manufacturing of Road oil mixture with the required ratio.
- Moves each batch of the finished product to the storage area through skip conveyor in a safe manner.
- Coordinates with the weighbridge department for weighing the final product and arrangement of trucks from the weighbridge to the site.
- Providing the sample quantity of the final product from each batch to the laboratory in order to perform the required analysis.
- Performs the preventive maintenance required for the machine and lubricates the moving systems as necessary.
- Reports the necessary raw materials required for the production to the supervisor.
- Arranging for Type A & Type B sand from the dredger.
- Maintains records like material consumption report, daily production reports, final product report obtained from the lab and preventive maintenance reports.
- Performs other reasonable duties as assigned or requested by the superiors.
- Must have the ability to provide accurate and timely information about the plant’s daily operating performance.
- Compliance with the company’s internal policies, code of conduct, safety and security rules & regulations and environmental aspects as per the IMS standards.
- Usage of PPE within the given span of time in a proper manner.
- Support 5S standards routinely by maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintaining and cleaning the machine/equipment on daily basis.
