**Main Objectives**
Prepare large meals (breakfast.lunches and dinners) for catering staff on assigned shift according to weekly schedule received from canteen supervisor. Maintain kitchen equipment in safe and efficient operating condition. Allocate specific duties to kitchen hands as required. Observes established hygiene and safety regulations.

**Main Duties**
- Takes over from previous shift, and complete preparation of any outstanding meals.
- Receives weekly schedules from canteen supervisor regarding type of meals to be prepared for catering staff (breakfasts, lunches and dinners) and carries out the full process of large meals preparation. Includes cutting, boning and portioning all meats, poultry and fish, slicing vegetables and occasionally serving the meals as necessary.
- Checks kitchen equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation and reports faults to repairs as required.
- Allocates specific duties to Kitchen Hands, such as preparing and slicing vegetables and carrying other duties as required.
- Observes established hygiene and safety rules and regulations. Standards. Includes wearing clean and tidy uniform.
- Carries out other similar or related duties such as, relieving Canteen Supervisor during his absence and serving staff where necessary.

Comply with the Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Education**:
Completion of Intermediate (6 years) education.

**Experience**:
3 to 4 years practical experience in similar capacity.

**Other Essential Requirements**:
Simple knowledge of written and spoken English.
