Our work encompasses a wide range of critical tasks including equipment replacement, testing, cleaning, and welding, among others.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assume a leadership role in coordinating and managing mechanical engineering aspects of the turnaround maintenance project, from commencement to conclusion.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. This includes supervising tasks such as:
Fabrication and replacement of the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) duct
Gas-Gas Heater (GGH) heat elements and baskets replacement
Hydrotesting
Boiler and ash cleaning
Replacement of boiler tubes and U bends
Removal and reinstallation of boiler manual, control, motor-operated, and PSV valves
Tube plugging
Cutting and welding of boiler casing and ducts
Expansion joint replacement
Flange surface lapping
Blinding and de-blinding activities
- Provide on-site technical supervision to ensure the proper execution of mechanical engineering tasks and activities, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Coordinate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to facilitate the timely completion of on-site tasks.
- Identify potential risks specific to on-site activities and develop strategies to mitigate them, all while upholding stringent safety standards.
- Ensure all on-site executed activities comply with regulatory guidelines, quality benchmarks, and company policies.
- Maintain open communication with stakeholders, offering regular on-site updates on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Foster a collaborative culture among on-site teams, emphasizing transparent communication and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Possess a substantial track record (7+ years) of hands-on experience in managing and supervising on-site mechanical engineering activities within complex projects within the Power, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or related sectors. This experience must encompass shutdown (turnaround) maintenance tasks similar to those detailed above.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of turnaround maintenance activities, including but not limited to equipment replacement, welding, testing, and related procedures as indicated in the tasks above.
- Showcase excellent organizational and multitasking skills specific to on-site coordination, characterized by meticulous attention to detail in tasks such as fabrication, replacement, hydrotesting, cleaning, and welding.
- Proficiency in utilizing on-site tools, engineering software, and safety protocols to monitor, guide, and report on the progress of tasks as mentioned, such as boiler tube replacement, valve reinstallation, tube plugging, expansion joint replacement, and flange surface lapping.
- Possess exceptional leadership and communication prowess, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate with on-site teams, stakeholders, and communicate the nuances of activities such as blinding and de-blinding.
- Demonstrated capability to manage and lead on-site teams in dynamic and challenging environments, particularly in the context of the specified maintenance activities.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Manama: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
