This role combines expertise in plant science, environmental control, system design, and operational oversight to create sustainable, efficient, and cutting-edge hydroponic solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Nutrient Management**:

- Develop and optimize nutrient formulations for diverse plant species and growth stages.
- Monitor and adjust nutrient delivery systems to ensure plant health and yield.
- **Environmental Control**:

- Design and implement advanced climate control systems, including temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and lighting.
- Optimize environmental parameters to meet the needs of rare culinary varieties.
- **System Design and Maintenance**:

- Design and oversee water and electronics systems for hydroponic operations.
- Implement efficient irrigation, filtration, and drainage systems.
- Ensure system scalability, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.
- **Plant Science Expertise**:

- Manage the growth stages of plants, from germination to harvest, ensuring optimal quality and yield.
- Cultivate rare culinary varieties and edible flowers with a focus on flavor, aesthetics, and consistency.
- **Pest and Disease Management**:

- Develop and implement integrated pest management strategies.
- Monitor plant health and address pest or disease issues promptly using sustainable methods.
- **Material Sourcing and Cost Management**:

- Source high-quality seeds, chemicals, and growing materials while maintaining a competitive cost strategy.
- Build and manage a robust database of suppliers, ensuring reliability, affordability, and consistency.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best terms and reduce operational costs.
- **Farm Visits and Operations Oversight**:

- Visit decentralized farms to supervise operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices.
- Oversee the full cycle from prospection to delivery and invoicing, ensuring seamless coordination and customer satisfaction.
- **Seed Testing and Variety Development**:

- Supervise the development and testing of new seed varieties to expand the product catalogue.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to identify high-value crops suited to market demands and hydroponic environments.
- **Quality Control and Certification**:

- Implement and oversee quality control measures across all hydroponic operations.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
- **Innovation and Optimization**:

- Experiment with new plant varieties and growing techniques to meet market demands.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with chefs, agronomists, and engineers to align hydroponic production with culinary needs.
- Train and manage staff involved in day-to-day hydroponic operations.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Science, or related fields.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years in hydroponic farming or controlled environment agriculture (CEA).
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in designing and operating hydroponic systems.
- Expertise in environmental control technologies, including HVAC and LED lighting.
- Strong understanding of nutrient chemistry and water quality management.
- Familiarity with IoT and automation for agriculture is a plus.
- **Knowledge Areas**:

- Rare culinary plant varieties, edible flowers, herbs, and leafy greens.
- Integrated pest management and plant disease control.
- Growth cycle management of hydroponic crops.
