Senior Financial Officer

Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as a strategic partner to the management and executive team, providing financial insights and analysis to inform critical business decisions. Shape the company’s overall strategy by integrating financial perspectives into planning and execution.
- Management Decision-Making: Collaborate closely with senior management to evaluate business opportunities, assess risks, and make informed decisions that drive profitability and growth. Provide data-driven recommendations that influence company policies, project evaluations, and investment strategies.
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives. Lead the creation of financial models and scenarios to guide strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports, presenting key findings and recommendations to the board and management team. Ensure that all financial reporting supports informed decision-making and aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of forecasts, financial models, and performance metrics. Provide ongoing analysis of budget variances and advise on necessary adjustments.
- Cash Flow & Capital Management: Ensure effective cash flow management to support the company’s operational needs and strategic investments. Manage relationships with financial institutions to secure necessary financing and optimize capital structure.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring that all financial practices adhere to legal guidelines and company policies. Provide oversight on compliance matters, including tax obligations and audit requirements.
- Cost Control & Efficiency: Drive cost management initiatives across the organization, including monitoring manufacturing costs and contractor expenses. Implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team’s alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Investment & Growth Strategy: Evaluate and oversee investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives. Provide financial due diligence and advise on the financial implications of potential ventures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with heads of departments to ensure that financial considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business, from operations to sales and marketing.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Certification: ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CMA certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, with a strong background in the manufacturing and/or contracting industries.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to influence senior management and drive strategic decision-making. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a finance team.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced financial modeling and analysis.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with business goals and drive company success.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing actionable insights that enhance business performance.
