SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases.
- Ability to lead assigned staff including prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.
- Knowledge of data security and disaster recovery systems and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of LAN administration in a secure environment.
- Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions.
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
- Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of systems growth analysis and capacity planning processes and techniques.
- Knowledge of data management techniques.
- Knowledge of cost analysis and budgeting procedures.
- Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of and competency in the use of a variety of programming languages.
- Knowledge of computer site licensure regulations and requirements.
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
- Manages multiple linked databases to include security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and development and implementation of bulk data import/export procedures.
- Manages multiple servers, workstations, and X terminals, ensuring proper integration of these components with existing university computer systems.
- Plans and implements system security policy, to include firewalls, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts.
- Conducts growth analysis and capacity planning, and develops capital and operating budget proposals.
- Designs and develops advanced methods and procedures for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and classifying data for input and/or retrieval.
- Researches, evaluates, purchases, installs, configures, and troubleshoots all hardware, peripherals, and equipment necessary to meet integrated systems objectives.
- Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- May lead or guide the work of other staff and/or students engaged in similar functions.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
