Purchase Assistant

Responsibilities
- Liaises with all internal departments, suppliers and manufactures four purchasing related activities.
- Assists Line Manager in searching and sourcing potential suppliers and vendors, when required.
- Assists Line Manager in comparing and evaluating suppliers and their offers continuously to receive the best service and product.
- Assists Line Manager in negotiating with suppliers, sub-contractors on their terms, and pricing to make sure the company gets the best possible prices on needed supplies.
- Ensures follow up of invoices from Supplier.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Liaise with store-in-charge for proper storage of products.
- Assist Line Manager in monitoring stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Assist Line Manager in determining quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Ensures all necessary posting done into the purchase system.
- Ensures all purchase related documents such as Purchase Request, Quotations, LPO, Approvals, and Suppliers Invoice etc. are filed properly for easy retrieval.
- Ensures follow up with Finance Department for payments.
- Prepares and reviews daily and monthly report for management.
Carries out any ad-hoc duties as requested by Line Manager and/ or COO.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelors or Diploma in Logistics, Purchase or its equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years in purchasing management.
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Problem solver with a strong analytical mind-set.
- Commercial awareness with excellent customer service skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 36 months
**Salary**: BD150.000 - BD180.000 per month
