Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including account reconciliation, bank statement analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Bahrain GAAP.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, prepare reports, and provide insights to management.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to develop and monitor financial plans.
  • Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and other financial transactions.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of financial records and maintain a high level of integrity.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, industry best practices, and relevant regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Bahrain GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite, is essential.
  • Knowledge of Bahrain tax laws and regulations is advantageous.
