Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our occupational health and safety efforts in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will oversee the development and implementation of policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, including industry-specific standards.
  • Training and Development: Deliver health and safety training and induction programs to staff and contractors.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and emergency services as required.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and management review.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification: NEBOSH IGC Certification or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Additional Certifications: Additional certifications such as ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, OSHA, or First Aid are an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in health and safety.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Bahraini health and safety laws and regulations.
