About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller Lead to join our dynamic finance team. This strategic position will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Day-to-day finance management: Oversight of financial processes for multiple legal entities in Fiat vertical, including month-end and year-end closing cycles, bank and asset balance reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, invoicing, payment processing, and timely regulatory filings.
  2. Accounting quality: Ensuring complete, accurate, and timely accounting through reviewing and defining accounting methodologies, validating journal entries, and reconciling balances across entities.
  3. Internal controls stewardship: Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, adhering to group accounting policies, and facilitating audits with transparent financial information.
  4. Audit Coordination: Leading the external audit process, working closely with auditors to ensure timely completion and adherence to audit requirements, addressing issues identified during audits, and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Annual planning & rolling forecast: Developing and aligning annual targets for revenues, marketing, and local spend, ensuring high P&L forecast accuracy throughout the fiscal year.
  6. Business partnership: Providing insightful analysis and financial modeling to support strategic business decisions, acting as a trusted business partner on financial matters, and offering clear and actionable insights.
  7. Process Improvement & Efficiency: Driving process improvements in accounting systems, reporting, and procedures to enhance finance function efficiency and accuracy, implementing best practices for financial reporting, including automation and streamlining of manual processes.

Requirements include:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting (Master/MBA, CMA or CPA preferred)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and/or Finance Business Partner roles, preferably with Technology/Fin Tech and/or listed/multinational companies
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures, familiarity with financial & tax statements, experience with general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Fluent writing and speaking English is preferred; Mandarin is a plus for efficient collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level financial planning and accounting systems preferred
  • Outstanding modeling and analytical skills combined with a strong executive presence
  • Self-starter - take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment, navigate ambiguity, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and provide clarity and structure
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Demonstrated interest in crypto & blockchain technology
