Workforce Protection Specialist
SUMMARY:
This Workforce Protection Specialist position is responsible for supporting the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) in the implementation of workforce protection policies and procedures. The selected candidate will be required to possess a strong understanding of occupational health management and safety regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and implement safety management systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct workplace inspections and investigations to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective actions to address workplace hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A current US Passport with the ability to travel and work overseas.
- COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements under OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01, and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
- A SECRET Security Clearance.
- Military experience with writing, analytical, management, and reading skills, as well as effective communication abilities.
- Prior experience and operational knowledge of safety management assistance and Occupational Health Management administration for the U.S. Department of Defense.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Travel to various countries in support of government requirements.
- Ability to execute OCONUS travel throughout the CENTCOM AOR.
