Job Description
The role of Cloud Operations Architect is to craft and execute strategies that drive customer adoption and use of AWS services. This includes EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, Generative AI, and more.
You will represent AWS within a customer's environment, driving discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
Your technical acumen and customer-facing skills will enable you to provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance, helping customers plan and build solutions using best practices.
Proactive maintenance of customers' AWS environments will ensure operational health while reducing cost and complexity.
You will develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
This position requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on solutions and provide technical guidance
- Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy
- Develop trusting relationships with customers
- Drive technical discussions regarding incidents and risk management
- Consult with partners from developers to C-suite executives
- Collaborate with AWS teams
Desired Candidate Profile:
A professional experience with AWS and/or other cloud offerings such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform is required.
You should have programming or scripting skills, including Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP.
Prior experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, Solution Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc. is necessary.
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including Continuous Integration/Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, etc. is also required.
