Senior Project Cost Manager

This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in cost management, contract administration, and quantity surveying within large-scale infrastructure projects.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for the project. This includes overseeing and managing the project's financials, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensuring that all costs are accurately tracked and controlled throughout the project lifecycle is crucial.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Managing all aspects of quantity surveying for the project.
  • Oversight of the project's financials, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Preparation of detailed bills of quantities, cost estimates, and material take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Review and preparation of contract documents, including tender submissions, variation orders, and claims.
  • Management of all aspects of contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Providing regular financial reports to stakeholders, including cost forecasts, cash flow analysis, and budget status updates.
  • Preparation and verification of interim payment certificates, final accounts, and subcontractor payments.
  • Identification of potential financial risks and implementation of strategies to mitigate these risks.


Key qualifications for this role include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and quantity surveying practices.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial issues proactively.
