Support Engineer - Open Source Expertise

We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer to join our team. As a subject matter expert in open source technologies, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our customers.

About the Role:

  • Providing technical support to customers leveraging Ubuntu and other open source products.
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues, including Linux kernel crashes and OS configuration problems.
  • Developing and maintaining technical knowledge base articles to enhance customer self-service capabilities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve overall customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Managing technical cases from start to finish, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Service Level Agreements.

Key Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with programming fundamentals in languages such as bash, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C, or C++.
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing concepts, including provisioning, monitoring, and orchestration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a remote environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel internationally for company events.
