Job Title: Healthcare Support Specialist

As a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a long-term and rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Patient Care & Support
    • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a caring environment.
    • Monitor patient conditions, such as taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure).
    • Report any changes in patient health or behavior promptly to the nursing team.
  • 2. Clinical Assistance
    • Support nurses and therapists during rehabilitation sessions and clinical procedures.
    • Assist in repositioning and transferring patients safely to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
    • Help maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation as required.
    • Ensure infection control standards and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
  • 3. Operational Support
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient areas, equipment, and supplies.
    • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are followed.
    • Safely transport patients within the facility (to therapy rooms, diagnostic areas, etc.).
    • Assist in the safe handling and disposal of clinical waste.
  • 4. Compliance & Professional Conduct
    • Adhere to hospital policies, Bahrain's Ministry of Health regulations, and international best practices.
    • Participate in training, workshops, and continuing education as directed.
    • Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all patients.
    • Follow health and safety procedures to minimize risks to patients and staff.
