**Job Description**

We're seeking an experienced GL Accountant to support our group reporting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and providing consolidated reports in alignment with our business processes and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the general ledgers of RESO including subsidiaries, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and ledger analysis.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • E nsure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data.
  • Support the month-end close process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support financial reporting activities, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies.
  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize resource utilization and minimize errors.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, and a relevant Professional Qualification.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
  • Accuracy & attention to detail.
