Key Responsibilities
  • Offer expert advice and propose recommendations to the President, ensuring effective decision-making and policy implementation.
  • Supervise and direct staff administrative activities, maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee key departments including Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Facilities and Purchasing at the university, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensure all requirements are met to accomplish and secure administrative processes, upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of academic strategic planning, aligning with the university's mission and vision.
  • Manage all financial transactions and collections, maintaining accurate records and adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the upkeep and maintenance of university buildings and grounds, including repairs, construction, and remodeling, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Manage all purchases, including instructional materials, furniture, supplies, technology software, etc., optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  • Manage all staff salaries and benefits, including visas, housing for staff, salaries, benefits, and government personnel regulations, ensuring fairness and equity.
  • Be involved in personnel operations, including recruitment, contracting, termination, training, development, and induction programs for administrative staff, as well as staff disciplinary actions, maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Submit an annual report on the University's administrative and financial operations to the President of the University, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Hold a PhD recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in relevant fields.
  • Possess relevant academic and administrative experience, showcasing leadership skills and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Demonstrate good conduct and behavior, with no record of conviction for crimes involving moral turpitude or dishonesty unless legally rehabilitated, upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Not have been dismissed from a job by a juridical judgment or disciplinary decision for reasons related to public morals, ensuring a clean and reputable background.
  • Be physically fit, able to perform duties requiring physical stamina and mental acuity.
  • Not have committed any act that would harm the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain or its interests at home or abroad, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the nation's values and principles.
  • Not hold a post in any political association or be involved in any activity of a political nature, maintaining neutrality and impartiality.
