Hotel Front Office Supervisor

A successful candidate for this role will oversee the Front Office Team to deliver exceptional guest experiences from check-in through check-out.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assign and instruct team members in their daily tasks
  • Manage front desk operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks, room and rate availability, and making informed decisions that benefit the hotel
  • Provide support to team members with questions or requests
  • Resolve customer complaints by conducting thorough investigations and implementing effective solutions
  • Prepare and lead daily pre-shift meetings, communicate effectively with all staff, and provide necessary information to deliver high-quality guest service
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for a supervisor or manager
  • Ensure a smooth handover between shifts, including sharing important information on business volume, special guests, tasks, and events
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the hotel's products and services, as well as local attractions
  • Deliver fast, efficient, and friendly check-in and check-out processes
  • Address customer queries or requests in a polite and efficient manner, consistently maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Coordinate group arrivals and departures
  • Contribute to a positive working environment, motivating team members to achieve their best
  • Participate in training courses and apply learned skills in practice
  • Process payments and accurately record transactions
  • Familiarize yourself with fire safety procedures, emergency protocols, and evacuation procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ability to effectively handle internal and external customers, requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy in resolving conflicts
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in using calculators to perform complex calculations accurately
  • Effective listening and comprehension skills to understand instructions and information
  • Vision and hearing to detect signs of emergency situations
