Project Manager

Main Objectives
Oversee departmental duties to ensure operational efficiency by supervising end-to-end project activities, including reviewing specifications, managing work schedules, and conducting cost appraisals per tender documents. The role also involves supervising contractors' work to meet organizational standards and enhancing internal processes through adherence to a preventive maintenance schedule.

Main Duties:
  • Act as key point of contact for various entities within the organization to provide regular updates and reports on project status (status report meetings) to ensure the efficiency of operations.
  • Plan Project Resources and overall planning of the department's operational requirements and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with the organization's standards.
  • Initiate project process post requirement receipt to ensure proper resource allocation and utilization.
  • Prepare project tender documents and evaluate submissions to provide recommendations and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Regular contact with the concerned authorities to obtain required approvals, provide clarifications, and resolve queries of authorities if required to avoid non-compliance.
  • Ensure safety and security standards are met, including regular monitoring and site visits to maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all safety regulations are followed and risks are minimized, contributing to the overall success of the project and the well-being of personnel.
  • Coordinate the timely execution of projects by ensuring all tasks are scheduled, resources are allocated, and milestones are met according to the project plan to ensure deadlines are met and the project is completed on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of facilities to ensure infrastructure supports business operations effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Comply with the organization's health, safety & security requirements.
  • Carry out other similar or related duties as directed by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil/architectural engineering or related field.
  • 10 years experience managing projects within the construction industry.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficient in CAD in 2D and 3D with other related applications.
  • Proficient in interior and fit-out design.
  • Proficient in MS Windows and Office Applications.
  • Professional certification such as PMP is an advantage.
  • FIDIC Certified
  • Good knowledge of writing and spoken English.
