About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the infrastructure related to buildings and facilities that are critical for the operation of telecommunications equipment and services.

This includes direct or indirect supervision of all Facilities' employees, and organizing, planning, and directing a program of management.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Oversee maintenance of all physical facilities, including buildings, offices, data centers, and telecommunication shelters/enclosures.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning of all facilities and equipment.
  • Cordinate with internal maintenance staff or external vendors to address any repair or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

We also prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability, and this role will play a key part in implementing initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint.

  • Utilities Management: Monitor and manage utility usage, including electricity, water, and telecommunications services.
  • Implement conservation measures and sustainability initiatives to reduce costs and minimize our impact on the environment.

In the event of an emergency, we need to be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions to operations.

  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Establish protocols for evacuations, communications, and business continuity.

We believe in building strong relationships with our suppliers and service providers, and this role will play a key part in identifying and evaluating vendors and service providers.

  • Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate vendors and service providers.
  • Manage contracts and service agreements to obtain the best value for the organization while maintaining high service standards.

We operate within strict financial controls and budget guidelines, and this role will play a key part in ensuring that expenses are managed effectively.

  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the building services unit budget.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety standards.
