Cloud Engineering Lead

A renowned provider of open source software offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned technologist to lead a team of engineers and drive success with the company's products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a growing team to optimize quality and velocity in development and operations
  • Identify and measure key performance indicators for team health
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Represent the team externally, engaging with stakeholders, customers, and other teams
  • Ensure focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Work closely with global customer deployments to meet service level agreements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of professional experience in software delivery using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar, and/or managing operations teams
  • Strong experience with OpenStack
  • Demonstrated commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Experience with Linux system administration, Ubuntu/Debian a plus
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience working in and managing distributed teams
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
