Advanced Database Developer: Collaborative Engineering Project

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to work on dqlite, a Raft extension for SQLite. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design and implement features that drive innovation in distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed systems, preferably with Raft. Good C programming skills and a solid understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns are also required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field is necessary.
- Design and implement features across dqlite
- Debug and fix issues encountered by users
- Improve Jepsen tests, traditional HA database automated testing and stress tests
- Participate in our engineering process through code and architectural review
- Engage with the open source community and commercial partners
- Be part of a pioneer of global distributed collaboration
- Work on cutting-edge projects in distributed systems
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers worldwide
- Enjoy a flexible and autonomous work environment
- Experience with distributed systems (preferably with Raft)
- Good C programming experience
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns a plus
- Capacity to learn quickly about new systems and techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree
