Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Housekeeping Coordinator.

About This Position
  • This is a key member of our housekeeping department, responsible for ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout our property.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate daily room attendant and house attendant assignments to guarantee rooms are guest-ready by established check-in times.
  2. Organize and prioritize tasks effectively, utilizing strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  3. Collaborate with room inspectors to update the hotel management system with accurate room statuses, maintaining seamless communication among departments.
  4. Communicate effectively with front desk staff on room availability and special requests, fostering a positive guest experience.
  5. Oversee guest laundry delivery and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely completion.
  6. Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily reports, providing valuable insights for management decisions.
  7. Maintain open communication with housekeeping leadership and other departments, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  8. Monitor inventory levels and report low supplies to management in a proactive manner.
  9. Respond professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, delivering exceptional customer service.
  10. Promote a positive work environment within the housekeeping team, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities are necessary for coordinating tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite is required for efficient task management.
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Leadership experience or potential to guide and motivate a team is beneficial for effective collaboration and communication.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and industry standards is necessary for maintaining high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required for meeting the demands of this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management degree is a plus for advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are beneficial for communicating with diverse guests and colleagues.
