This position oversees all aspects of our wine program, including curation, cellar management, staff education, and guest engagement, driving exceptional results through expert guidance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Curate and Maintain a Dynamic Wine List: Exceeding guest expectations with a diverse and balanced selection of wines.
  • Inventory Management and Purchasing: Seamless service delivery through effective vendor relationships and inventory control.
  • Lead Wine Service: Providing expert guidance on wine selection and pairing options during service hours.
  • Train and Mentor Front-of-House Staff: Developing wine knowledge and service techniques to enhance the guest experience.
  • Plan and Host Wine Events: Showcasing wine expertise through tastings, pairing dinners, and events that inspire and educate guests.
  • Cellar Organization and Stock Control: Optimizing storage capacity through efficient monitoring and maintenance.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring full compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations to protect guests and staff.
Requirements
  • Sommelier Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fine-dining or high-end hospitality environments.
  • Certification: Certification from a recognized sommelier organization is highly desirable.
  • Wine Knowledge: Deep understanding of global wine regions, producers, and vintages to provide expert recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional palate, communication skills, and table-side presence to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and educate a team to achieve outstanding results.
