Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Facilitator to lead workshops and training sessions on topics like suicide prevention, resilience, and leadership development.
About the Role:
- This is a key position that requires expertise in facilitation, counseling, education, or a related field, as well as strong skills in event coordination, group leadership, and training.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for administering pre and post-event feedback forms to assess effectiveness, collaborating with staff to develop lesson plans, and contributing to new program initiatives.
- Promoting programs by networking within the community and attending meetings will also be an essential part of this role.
- Referring service members and families to appropriate support services will be another important responsibility.
- Managing event logistics, ensuring materials and coordination are in place for workshops and retreats, is crucial to the success of this position.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Divinity, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a retired U.S. Military Service Member with 20 years of service and relevant experience, is required.
- Certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months) in specific programs like ASIST, safeTALK, and The Gottman Institute's relationship training is also necessary.
- At least two years of experience in facilitation, counseling, education, or a related role is essential.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities are critical for success in this position.
- U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in English are also requirements.
