Job DescriptionAs a key member of our dynamic quality control team, you will be responsible for reviewing submittals, including technical and material documents, and assisting the QC manager in the 3-phase inspection process for mechanical activities.
You will monitor all phases and processes required for the effective completion of mechanical works, ensuring design, procurement, construction, and final handover are executed smoothly. Your role will involve managing inspection and testing of mechanical works, monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under your authority, and closing out punch lists for incomplete related to mechanical works.
You will also ensure that measurement & testing instruments employed for mechanical works are functional and calibrated. Additionally, you will witness, review, and approve welder qualifications and WPS, PQR qualifications, liaise with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required, conduct statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to mechanical works, prepare, file, and maintain test/inspection records, and assist construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to mechanical works.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 7 years of experience as a quality control mechanical engineer. Experience in mega projects is highly desirable, preferably with involvement in US Army projects.
You must be focused, structured, and a self-learner with excellent organizational skills. As a strong communicator, you will effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to drive project success.
