Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Groups, Conference and Events Coordinator to join our team at Hilton Bahrain. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for receiving groups and events, serving as an intermediary between the customer and the commercial and operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive groups and events, updating the hotel's event calendar
  • Draft contracts for groups and events
  • Insert Rooming Lists into the system, update payment instructions, and enter important information relevant to the group
  • Negotiate budgets with customers
  • Develop events Work Orders in the system, incorporating all relevant information
  • Conduct instructional groups with all relevant information, including number of attendees, category, price, form of payment, contact details, and special notes
  • Prepare monthly reports on groups and update closing information
  • Interact regularly with Account Managers, Sales Coordinators, Reservations, Front Desk, Department Parties, Hilton Meetings, and Kitchen staff
  • Act directly with guests or clients during their stay
  • Participate in special activities, such as welcome tours and secretaries of cocktails
  • Efficiently and promptly respond to client requests

Requirements

  • Graduate or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing
  • Previous experience in sales, groups, and events, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Quick problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Sense of organization and planning, with good time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proactive approach to meet deadlines and objectives
