Product Specialist - Orthopedic Healthcare

The role of a Product Specialist in the orthopedic healthcare industry involves promoting products and services to customers, discovering new sales prospects, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote products and services to customers and identify potential sales opportunities
  • Analyze market trends to stay updated on new products and their advantages/disadvantages
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create new materials for product releases
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Negotiate contracts and packages with customers
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to established standards

Market Research and Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and understand their needs
  • Plan and assist with new product releases and events
  • Provide potential customers with support, information, and guidance during product demonstrations

Customer Support and Service:

  • Recommend new products to existing customers based on their needs
  • Assist customers in answering product-related questions in a professional and timely manner
  • Negotiate contracts and packages with existing customers

Operating Theatre and Data Tracking:

  • Attend surgeries with doctors and nurses and assist with equipment issues
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and maintaining accurate records of sold products

Orders and Invoicing:

  • Follow up with procurement and logistics teams regarding product deliveries
  • Place orders with purchase coordinators
  • Coordinate with finance departments for proper invoicing and follow up on collections/payments

Delivery and Requirements:

  • Coordinate with warehouses for timely deliveries
  • Requirements: Bachelors degree; 2+ years of relevant experience in sports medicine/ortho field/orthopedic reconstruction & trauma; good communication and English language skills; MS Office skills; presentation and negotiation skills; client relationship building skills

Additional Information:

  • Candidates should be willing to travel as per business needs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience in sports medicine/ortho field/orthopedic reconstruction & trauma
