Senior Data Systems Engineer

A highly skilled and experienced data systems engineer is required to join our organization.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems, ensuring data quality, and providing insights to support business decisions. This includes designing and developing data warehouses and data marts using SAS BI and Microsoft SQL Server, building ETL jobs using SAS DI and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, and developing stored procedures and functions using T-SQL to reconcile transactions and manage financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data warehouses and data marts using advanced technologies such as big data and cloud computing.
  • Build and maintain ETL jobs using best practices and adhere to strict timelines.
  • Develop and implement stored procedures and functions to improve data processing efficiency.
  • Contribute to the design and development of data warehouse components, relational database management systems, and database design solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing within a database, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • Expertise in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Hands-on experience managing and further developing distributed systems and clusters for batch and streaming data using Hadoop/Spark and/or Kafka/Flink.
  • Programming experience in C# or Java (3+ years).
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting concepts, including balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and risk reporting.
