Main Responsibilities:- Manage new product development projects by researching consumer markets, and developing new product concepts and prototypes.
- Browse through various culinary options to brainstorm ideas for new products or existing product modifications/add-ons.
- Analyze and evaluate trial results to make necessary adjustments to ingredients, formulations, processes, and equipment prior to full-scale production.
- Prepare and manage samples creation when requested.
- Create each product with full insight of shelf life, allergens, ingredients cost, and process.
- Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
- Handle and maintain all equipment within the R&D space correctly.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
- Comply with health, safety, and hygiene policies.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Must be able to initiate, plan, and implement new product development projects. Following recipes and formulations to create and evaluate product samples is essential. Experience with multiple cuisines or fusion cuisines is a significant plus. The ability to communicate effectively in English is required. A working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) is also necessary.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures is a must. Creating and maintaining an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment is crucial. Good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization are required skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and ensure quality control and efficient workflow are key attributes.
A strong communicator with a friendly and pleasant personality who can work well with others is ideal. Punctuality and a willingness to learn are also highly valued.
