Job Title:

Regional Finance Director - Middle East

This position involves overseeing the financial operations of a company in the Middle East region, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective management of cash flow.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning: Develop and implement operating budgets, maintain accurate local accounting records, and perform reconciliation tasks to ensure transparency.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee the company's cash flow, establish treasury controls, and ensure timely payments to suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Create and execute comprehensive financial strategies to support business growth goals and meet regulatory demands.
  • Stress Testing Methodology: Maintain and enhance existing stress testing scenarios to evaluate potential risks and identify areas for improvement.
  • External Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, auditors, local banking partners, and other external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Certifications: Chartered accountancy certifications (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA) are required.
  • Finance Officer Role: Prior experience as a named Finance Officer or similar role for regulatory licenses in the Middle East is highly preferred.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cash Flow Management: Deep understanding of cash flow management, liquidity management, and accounting practices tailored to UAE and/or Middle East region.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of spoken and written English, with good proficiency in speaking and writing Arabic being a plus.
  • International Experience: Experience working with international/multinational companies is a plus.
  • IFRS Principles: Strong understanding of IFRS principles is essential.
  • Tech Savviness: Knowledge of Net Suite (Oracle) system and crypto-related subjects is a plus.
