Military Education Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Specialist to provide high-quality non-clinical education, training, and support services to military personnel, families, and communities. As an Education Support Specialist, you will develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and training sessions on various topics, including deployment and mobilization support, life skills education, family advocacy, and emergency preparedness.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in adult education, social science, behavioral science, or a related field, with at least two years of experience in training development, public speaking, and group presentation. They will be proficient in interpreting data from program evaluations and needs assessments to enhance educational delivery and have prior experience working in a military or educational setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering training sessions, workshops, and seminars on topics such as deployment, repatriation, relocation, family advocacy, and personal financial management.
- Interpreting program evaluations, needs assessments, and feedback to continuously improve educational offerings.
- Facilitating group programs for military personnel and families, targeting at-risk groups such as first-term service members, socially isolated families, single parents, and special needs families.
- Providing pre- and post-deployment briefings, ensuring that materials are tailored to the needs of each command.
- Conducting public awareness campaigns and prevention education in support of Family Advocacy Program (FAP) initiatives, such as National Child Abuse Prevention and National Domestic Violence Awareness months.
- Serving as the designated point of contact for individual service members or families in need of case management services.
- Training staff and colleagues in effective presentation and facilitation techniques.
