About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Bahrain. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine qualitative and quantitative chemical and biochemical analysis of sewage, water, soil, or other materials by standardized and predetermined methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and analysis on raw and digested sludges and water, including volatile and suspended solids, total dissolved solids, alkalinity, total hardness, pH, biochemical oxygen demand, and other tests.
  • Collect and log water and wastewater samples from various locations, including the wastewater treatment plant, creeks, and within the water distribution system.
  • Perform routine calculations and record test data using a computerized Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Maintain laboratory records and prepare laboratory reports.
  • Perform quality control tests on laboratory procedures and maintain the quality control program and records.

Requirements:

  • Scientific Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience for the senior role
  • Familiarity with modern laboratory techniques and procedures, statistics as applied to chemical and biological testing procedures
  • Knowledge of operations, services, and activities of a laboratory, and the care, maintenance, and operational requirements of laboratory equipment and apparatus
