Job Description - Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician will support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain hotel operations ensuring safety, security, conversation, and compliance at the highest levels.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist the Engineering Team in ensuring engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel are working properly and to standard. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel
  • Responding promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise
  • Executing the preventative maintenance schedule and ensuring all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard
  • Assisting in the implementation of energy conservation programs
  • Recommending maintenance system improvements and energy savings
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition
  • Keeping technical training knowledge and skills up to date

A successful Maintenance Technician will have the following qualifications:

  • Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing required
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
  • Experience in a large hotel, hospital, ship, restaurant complex or similar environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
