As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational efforts of students in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom and general education classroom.

The ideal candidate will have experience with administrative tasks such as attendance records, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments. You will also be responsible for participating in home visits and school-related meetings, as well as supporting educational efforts as needed.

To qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

General Experience: One year of general experience is required. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of an Educational Aid (Special Education).

The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring students during various phases of the school day and providing assistance in toileting, feeding, eating, and personal hygiene.

Please note that this position requires a Tier 1 investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen years old.
