Surgical Intensive Care Unit Nurse

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse to provide critical care to post-surgical patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Critical Patient Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor the condition of post-surgical patients, ensuring timely intervention in case of any complications.
  • Post-Operative Care: Provide specialized care for recovery after major surgeries, focusing on pain management, wound care, and preventing complications.
  • Emergency Response: Act quickly in critical situations like cardiac or respiratory arrest, following established protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer IV drugs, pain relief, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
  • Care Coordination: Work closely with doctors and healthcare teams to deliver effective care, communicating regularly with patients and their families.
  • Infection Control: Maintain a sterile and safe environment to prevent complications, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor or diploma degree in Nursing is required, with a preference for registered Nurses with experience in medical and surgical wards.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in medical and surgical wards, with a focus on intensive care units.
  • Certifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
