About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Officer - payroll to join our team at Gulf Air Group. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for human resources and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personnel Administration: Assist the Payroll team in performing various personnel functions, including promotions, transfers, staff offers, salaries, and any queries related to payroll matters.
  • Maintenance of Employee Records: Monitor and scrutinize outputs relative to staff salaries and allowances in Headquarters and Outstations.
  • Queries and Inquiries: Attend to all queries received from other departments, staff in HQ, and Outstation regarding promotions, appointments, and transfers.
  • Salary Calculation: Check and calculate salary rates, as well as process allowances and variations to an employee's salary.
  • Payment Arrangements: Calculate and arrange payments for severance, retirements, resignations, and other terminations.
Main Duties
  1. Produce computer printouts of all fixed and variable allowances from the system.
  2. Carry out detailed verification of entitlements of individual staff against their corresponding Pay items to avoid over/under payment.
  3. Ensure that personnel files of new joiners contain all necessary papers.
  4. Register joiners, leavers, and transfers in the appropriate form to reconcile it against computer printout on a monthly basis.
  5. Evaluate staff termination advice and ensure a copy of the resignation letter is attached for final settlement.
  6. Document transfer of outstation employees properly, take necessary actions, and register them.
  7. Raise, receive, and check computer inputs and outputs regarding changes in salary, allowances, annual increments, job titles, job codes, departments, accounts classifications, review dates, etc.
Education and Experience

A Higher National Diploma (HND) is required for this position. At least 7 years of experience in the field of human resources is preferred, with experience in a computerized payroll system being an advantage.
