Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager/Executive to help establish and optimize the accounting and finance system for our e Commerce platform. This is a project-based or part-time position with the possibility of a future full-time position, ideal for a professional with a strong background in e Commerce finance who can develop and implement efficient financial processes and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures tailored for e Commerce operations with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish an efficient accounting system to track revenues, expenses, and profitability within our operational constraints.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to guide decision-making while considering our resources.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights to improve profitability and financial health.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to support financial planning and strategy.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement suitable for a small company.
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial systems and practices that are scalable and affordable.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role, preferably within the e Commerce sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and e Commerce metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Quick Books, Excel, ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a project-based environment.
  • Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
