Responsibilities

  • Establish methods that ensure alignment with company safety expectations
  • Provide strategic leadership regarding safety across all assigned business units
  • Partner closely with all levels of leadership to create, maintain and improve our H&P safety environment
  • Assist in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Work with customers to address HSE related concerns
  • C coordinate and manage emergency response efforts in the event of injuries or environmental events
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and company representative for litigation
  • Provide guidance and support to Human Resources in Worker's Compensation cases
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
  • Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
  • Consult with human resources as appropriate

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Experienced in deploying HSE initiatives
  • Functional experience with Drilling Operations

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel proficiency
  • Project management, root cause analyses problem solving ability
