This is a key role within our organization that involves managing the procurement process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong understanding of procurement processes.

Main Responsibilities:

\

  • Develop, plan, manage, and control the provision of procurement contracts and purchasing;\
  • Ensure company business requirements are met in a cost-effective and efficient manner;\
  • Negotiate prices and terms of business with suppliers;\
  • Manage supplier relationships through effective communication and negotiation;\
  • Identify and implement required purchase and contract arrangements to cover Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery;\
  • Review opportunities for business savings, including long-term pricing agreements on critical and repetitive commodities;\
  • Act as an intermediate escalation point for all disputes with suppliers;\
  • Engage with the Legal department on all legal issues affecting contracts and purchasing;\
  • Report cases of supplier's breach of contract obligations and jointly develop claims for reimbursement of liquidated damages;\
  • Develop and maintain a coherent supply chain and supplier strategy;\
  • Provide advice on matters relating to contracts and purchasing and advise on any issues that present risk or opportunity to the organization;\
  • Forecast demand and gather historical demand information to identify potential trends;\
  • Carry out supplier relationship management activities, including supplier prequalification and performance measure;\
  • Develop sourcing strategy and identify procurement and logistics contingency plans;\
  • Evaluate and pre-qualify suppliers in accordance with established procedures;\
  • Provide and develop management information using the procurement system and other computer facilities;\
  • Carry out ad-hoc project work as directed to meet users' persistent and unplanned requirements;\
  • Ensure timely renewal of contracts and purchases and provide analysis on costs and review cost reduction activities;\
  • Monitor the implementation of contract obligations by suppliers and identify potential problems within Contracts & purchasing activities, delivery, and project implementation delays;\
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to limit the consequences of supplier's failures and avoid repetition of such problems in the future;\
  • Review, manage, and negotiate contracts/purchases of unlimited value to ensure maximum benefits are achieved and Company's legal rights are protected;\
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure procurement objectives are aligned with organizational goals;\\
