Manager – Specialty Coffee Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the coffee shop, including staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of baristas and support staff to provide exceptional service.
  • Ensure high-quality coffee preparation and maintain consistency in beverages according to company standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring the availability of high-quality coffee beans, equipment, and supplies.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain a positive experience for all guests.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
  • Manage cash handling, daily sales reports, and other administrative tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with coffee trends, brewing techniques, and industry standards.
  • Develop strategies to increase sales and customer loyalty through promotions and excellent service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Coffee Shop Manager or in a similar leadership role in a specialty coffee shop or café.
  • Passion for coffee and knowledge of various brewing methods and techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and basic financial reporting.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with POS systems (e.g., Foodics, Odoo).
  • Barista certification or related coffee-related training.
  • Knowledge of specialty coffee beans, roasts, and tasting profiles.
