Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain virtualized environments for optimal performance and

uptime

2. Perform regular backups, snapshots, and disaster recovery.

3. Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues

4. Integrate virtualization solutions with existing infrastructure

5. Manage provisioning, deployment, and management of virtual machines

6. Implement and enforce security best practices for virtual environments

7. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning

8. Collaborate with vendors and support teams for upgrades

9. Document configurations, procedures, and policies related to virtualization

10. Provide technical support and training on virtualization tools and technologies

11. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations

12. Proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving

13. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

3. Proficiency with VMware, KVM or other virtualization technologies

4. Strong understanding of virtual machine management and provisioning

5. Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

6. Knowledge of storage systems, network connectivity, and server management

7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

8. Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for virtual environments

9. Familiarity with security best practices for virtualization

10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills

11. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

12. Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

13. Experience with automation tools and frameworks for virtualization

14. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies

15. Understanding of licensing and regulatory compliance related to virtualized systems
