Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team, specializing in high-end fit-out, joinery, and FF&E projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, estimation, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management to ensure project delivery within budget and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for fit-out, joinery, and FF&E works at various project stages (pre-contract and post-contract).
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Procurement & Tendering:
  • Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQs), and scope of works.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Contract Management:
  • Assist in drafting and administering contracts (FIDIC or bespoke) with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and manage variations and change orders.
  • Cost Control & Reporting:
  • Track project costs and progress, monitor budgets, and prepare cost/value reconciliation reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Valuations & Payments:
  • Prepare interim and final valuations, progress claims, and payment applications.
  • Assess subcontractor payment applications and recommend payment certificates.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Work closely with the project team, including project managers, designers, site engineers, and procurement, to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors regarding cost and commercial matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience (maximum 10 years preferred) in quantity surveying, specifically in interior fit-out, joinery, and FF&E projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and industry pricing.
  • Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with contract standards such as FIDIC or JCT.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
