We are seeking a dedicated General Purpose Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for junior-level accounting tasks, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and supporting monthly closings. This role involves assisting management with various accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and manage general ledger operations
  • Conduct monthly closings and prepare financial statements
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  • Generate monthly financial reports and account analyses
  • Administer accounts receivable and payable
  • Prepare tax computations and returns
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasts
  • Handle account/bank reconciliations and expense reports
  • Collaborate with sales, customers, management, and the manufacturing unit
  • Support the audit process as needed
  • Prepare VAT returns

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and applicable local regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of the VAT systems in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia
  • Proven experience in general accounting and financial operations
  • Proficient in accounting software (Zoho, Odoo etc) and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage
