About the Role

We are seeking a Project Document Controller to manage, organize, and maintain all project documentation and ensure that engineering, procurement, and construction records are properly controlled, distributed, and archived in accordance with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an efficient document control system for all project-related documents.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, drawings, submittals, and transmittals.
  • Ensure all project documents are properly categorized, filed, and easily accessible.
  • Monitor document revision status and ensure that only the latest versions are distributed.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients for timely submission and review of documents.
  • Maintain accurate document logs and tracking systems (hard copy and electronic).
  • Support QA/QC procedures by ensuring documentation meets company and client standards.
  • Assist in audits and provide reports on document control status.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all project documentation.

Qualification & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years
    of experience in document control within construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with document control systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, or EDMS.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in GCC-based construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO documentation standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
