Job Description

  • Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and approved budgets.
  • Prepare inquiries, obtain supplier quotations, and support in the evaluation and comparison of offers based on price, quality, and delivery
  • Coordinate with project, site, and engineering teams to confirm material specifications and ensure timely procurement.
  • Assist in preparing purchase orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of approved materials.
  • Maintain an updated procurement log, tracking status of inquiries, quotations, orders, and deliveries.
  • Support in vendor prequalification, price negotiation, and preparation of procurement reports for management review.
  • Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist in verifying supplier invoices and delivery notes against POs and material inspection reports.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company procedures, project specifications, and contractual terms.
  • Help maintain and update supplier databases to support competitive sourcing and reliable vendor relationships.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost control measures within the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry (GCC experience preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of materials used in Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP works.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; knowledge of ERP systems or procurement software is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
