The Marketing & PR Executive
is responsible for executing Playbook's brand, marketing, and public relations strategy across digital platforms, campaigns, partnerships, and media. This role connects brand visibility, program demand, and platform growth through structured campaign planning, content execution, performance tracking, and media relations.

This is a hands-on execution role focused on driving membership growth, increasing program registrations, strengthening media visibility, supporting partner marketing, and tracking real performance and ROI.

Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Media Engagement

  • Build, update, and maintain Playbook's media contact database, including journalists, publications, podcasts, and digital platforms relevant to careers, leadership, startups, and talent development.
  • Draft all official press communications, including press releases, media briefs, partnership announcements, speaking-engagement talking points, and official company statements.
  • Manage media inquiries by documenting requests, preparing draft replies, routing for internal approval, and delivering final communication within set deadlines.
  • Track media mentions and compile recurring media summaries covering reach estimation, narrative alignment, sentiment, visibility impact, and strategic positioning insights.
  • Prepare briefing documents for Playbook representatives participating in interviews, media features, or speaking engagements.

Marketing Campaign Planning, Demand & Growth Execution

  • Execute growth-driven marketing campaigns for membership acquisition, program registrations, events and summits, and partner activations.
  • Prepare structured marketing campaign plans including campaign objectives, target audience segments, core messages, funnel mapping (ads → landing pages → email → conversion), content and asset requirements, approval timelines, posting schedules, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate campaign copy and assets in line with brand guidelines and communication standards.
  • Work closely with Growth, Product, and Partnerships teams to improve conversion from traffic to signups, strengthen email and funnel performance, and support landing page messaging and CTAs.
  • Track and report on leads generated, conversion rates, event registrations and attendance, membership inquiries, and overall campaign ROI.

Digital Channel, Performance & Platform Visibility

  • Manage Playbook's digital presence across the website, Instagram, LinkedIn, email marketing, and the app feed.
  • Maintain a structured weekly and monthly content calendar aligned with growth priorities, program launches, and partnerships.
  • Publish and schedule Playbook app feed content such as events, announcements, program launches, and partner campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze engagement trends, audience growth, campaign reach, event conversion trends, and visibility gaps.
  • Ensure all communication follows documented approval flows and messaging guidelines.

Internal & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Growth, Product, Design, Content, Partnerships, and Program teams.
  • Attend weekly alignment meetings to report on campaign progress, media activity, digital visibility performance, planned communications, delivery timelines, blockers, and solutions.
  • Ensure all external communication passes through structured internal approvals before release.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in marketing execution, PR workflows, campaign management, and digital growth support.
  • Strong understanding of funnels, lead generation, and conversion optimization.
  • Ability to interpret dashboards and translate performance into insights.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and approval-management discipline.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Experience Level

2–4 years of experience is suitable, ideally with a background in marketing, PR, communications, or growth marketing. Startup experience is a strong advantage.
