Role Overview

We are seeking an
Associate
with
1–3 years of post-qualification experience
from a leading law firm to join our Corporate Commercial Department. The role will focus on
M&A
and
general corporate/commercial matters
across the MENA region, working on high-profile cross-border transactions, local advisory, and a wide range of corporate mandates.

Key Requirement

  • Post-Qualification Experience
    : 1–3 years, preferably from a top-tier international or regional law firm
  • Languages
    : English (Arabic desirable but not essential)
  • Qualification
    : Common law jurisdiction (preferably England & Wales; US-qualified also considered)

Experience

  • Dual focus on M&A and general corporate/commercial matters
  • Exposure to leading global jurisdictions and/or GCC/Bahrain markets
  • Experience advising on cross-border transaction

Primary Responsibilities

  • Advise on
    deal structuring and strategy
    for M&A transactions
  • Conduct
    legal due diligence
    for acquisitions and investments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate
    acquisition agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements
    , and other transactional documents
  • Work on
    venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE)
    transactions
  • Advise on
    corporate governance
    and regulatory compliance
  • Provide counsel on
    franchising, agency, distribution, and general commercial contracts
  • Manage relationships with
    regulators
    and handle relevant correspondence
  • Lead and support
    legal project management
    initiatives
  • Actively contribute to
    client development and business development
    activities
  • Meet a
    billing target
    of 6 hours per day and achieve agreed collection targets
