Job Description

  • Lead and manage the development, coordination, and implementation of Building Information Models (BIM) for Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines in accordance with the project's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and company BIM standards.
  • Develop accurate, data-rich, and fully coordinated 3D BIM models to support design, construction, and facility management stages.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate models, ensure interdisciplinary coordination, and resolve clashes effectively.

Perform detailed model audits, clash detection, and constructability reviews using Navisworks or similar software.

  • Prepare and extract coordinated 2D drawings, shop drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs directly from BIM models.
  • Ensure that all BIM deliverables adhere to defined project Level of Development (LOD) and information exchange standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project, engineering, and site teams to incorporate design changes, as-built conditions, and technical updates in the BIM environment.

Develop and maintain BIM templates, families, and libraries to ensure model consistency and efficiency across projects.

  • Assist in the implementation of 4D (time), 5D (cost), and 6D (FM) BIM integration to support project planning and management.
  • Conduct BIM coordination meetings and provide visual presentations to project stakeholders for design validation and decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, version control, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation scripts, parametric modeling, and integration with emerging BIM tools.
  • Train and guide junior BIM modelers or draftsmen to enhance team capability and maintain production quality.
  • Prepare BIM reports, clash reports, and coordination summaries for project management and client review.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience in BIM engineering, coordination, or model management within the construction or engineering industry (GCC experience preferred).
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), LOD standards, and model coordination workflows.
  • Knowledge of interdisciplinary coordination for Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and visualization skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities for coordination across design and site teams.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple project deliverables under tight deadlines.
