Job Summary:

The Project Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring, and controlling project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and financial objectives. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, finance teams, and stakeholders to provide accurate cost analysis and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenses and track costs against the approved budgets.
  • Analyze cost variances and identify potential financial risks.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounting departments to validate expenditure and invoicing.
  • Support project teams with financial insights and cost management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial documentation and audits related to project costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Cost Controller, Cost Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of project management and cost control principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or project management software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Cost Management or Project Management (e.g., PMI, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in related industries.
  • Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects of project costs.
